What is the MOT test ?
Every vehicle over three years old using the public roads is subject to the annual MOT
(Ministry of Transport) test. It ensures that every vehicle is mechanically safe and operates within certain
emissions limits.
What does the MOT test cover ?
The MOT test consists of more than 150 checks including the following areas:

What happens if my vehicle fails the test ?
If we carry out repairs on your vehicle to enable it to pass, we will carry out the retest free
of charge. If you take the vehicle away to be repaired, you will be charged the MOT test fee again for the
vehicle to be retested.
Do I still need to get my vehicle serviced ?
MOT testing isn't a guarantee of the general mechanical condition of a vehicle for the life of
the certificate, just it's condition at the time of the test. You should still have your car serviced regularly
to ensure that it continues to function correctly.
